A recent book release by Charles R. Morris is putting the finger on a very serious economy that will shake down to what he estimates being $1 Trillion write down.
“Yet $1 trillion is the amount of defaults and writedowns Americans will likely witness before they emerge at the far side of the bursting credit bubble, estimates Charles R. Morris in his shrewd primer, “The Trillion Dollar Meltdown.” That calculation assumes an orderly unwinding, which he doesn’t expect.”

Recently, I have been seeing substantial evidence that we are entering an inflationary period and that official estimates of inflation are grossly understated. Feels like inflation to me.

The ever more intriguing Android platform from Google are getting ready for launch. The recent session at Etech by Dan Morril from Google.
Set to go on sale in the second half of this year, the Android will work at the platform level: an open development model, free and open to carriers, manufacturers and enthusiasts, with no permission required to develop apps. One brightspot for the developer community is the Android Developer Challenge, for which Google is providing $10 million in grants as seed money for developers working on promising applications.
