Hard to believe that it’s been almost 20 years, but please enjoy this refreshing reminder of the “unification” we all experienced after 9/11.
Most people are not aware that a Secret Service special agent, dressed as an umpire the night President Bush threw out the pitch during the 2001 World Series at Yankee Stadium. Great story!! I’m surprised that none of the newspaper guys ever picked up on the “stranger” in the umpire’s uniform.
Remember this was just after 9/11. This is our country in one of its many best moments…
